Serene Capital is opportunistic and flexible in our investment structures, providing mezzanine debt and equity investments to growing companies across a variety of industries.  We prefer to invest alongside a company’s management team or with other sponsors and are willing to take either a majority or minority position.  Our investments are typically used for growth capital or to provide liquidity for business owners.  We focus on cash flow positive businesses with a competitive advantage in their market and strong barriers to entry.  Additionally, each company must have a clear and actionable strategy for achieving future growth.

We are unique in that we take a personal approach to investing.  We look beyond the spreadsheets and understand there is a real-life implication with each investment.  Every company has a unique culture that is woven in its DNA, which is a big part of its success.  By taking the time upfront to establish mutual trust and respect with management teams we forge strong partnerships that help companies achieve their growth potential.

At Serene Capital Management, we consider investments in several real estate sectors including multi-family housing, commercial and industrial.  Our target assets are developed properties with full, or close to full, occupancy in densely populated geographies. We will consider both leveraged and un-leveraged transaction structures. 

Serene Capital’s Managing Partner has been a board member for a number of growing middle market companies and helped them achieve their strategic goals.    He has also helped many entrepreneurs in a variety of industries evaluate key strategic decisions such as acquisitions and outright sale.  Through collaboration and mutual trust, he helps management teams develop a sound business plan and then execute on a targeted growth strategy. He also spends time evaluating the talent in each organization. With the CEO, they ensure that everyone has clearly defined goals and expectations. Importantly, they ensure that each has the resources to be successful.
